CPT Andrew DaRonco hails from Allen Park, MI and graduated
with a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science from Adrian College. CPT DaRonco was
commissioned as Infantry Officer in January 2007. Upon completion of Infantry
BOLC, CPT DaRonco reported to 2nd Battalion, 30th
Infantry Regiment at Fort Polk, LA.
CPT DaRonco’s previous assignments include: Rifle Company
Executive Officer, Rifle Platoon Leader, Heavy Weapons Company Executive
Officer, Assistant Operations Officer for 2nd Battalion, 30th
Infantry Regiment, Battle Captain for 1st Stryker Brigade Combat
Team, and Battalion S4 for 1st Battalion, 5th Infantry
Regiment. He first served as a Company
Executive Officer then Rifle Platoon Leader in Baghdad, Iraq in support of OIF
07-09. His next assignment was the
Executive Officer for the Heavy Weapon Company from 09-10. He completed his tenure in 2-30 IN as the
Assistant Operations Officer in Logar Province, Afghanistan in support of OEF
10-11 then PCSing to Fort Benning, GA to attend the Maneuver Captains Career
Course in February 2011. After
graduating the Maneuver Captains Career Course he was deployed as the 1-25th
SBCT Battle Captain in support of OEF 11-12.
His last assignment was Stryker Company Commander
of Berserker Company 1-5 IN out of Fort Wainwright, AK.
CPT DaRonco is a graduate of the Infantry Officer Basic
Course, Maneuver Captains Career Course, Ranger School, Airborne School,
Combatives Level Two, Stryker Leader Course, Cold Weather Orientation Course and
Anti Armor Leaders Course.
His awards and decorations include the Meritorious Service
Medal, Army Commendation Medal with four Oak Leaf Clusters, the Army
Achievement Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Afghan Campaign Service
Medal, Iraq Campaign Service Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Army
Service Ribbon, Overseas Service Ribbon, and the NATO Medal. He has earned the
Combat Infantryman’s Badge, Expert Infantryman’s Badge, Parachutist Badge, and
the Ranger Tab.
