1SG Albert Buchiniski

 

1SG Albert Buchinski enlisted into the Army in July of 2000.  He attended Basic Training and Advanced Individual Training as an Infantryman at Fort Benning, Georgia.  1SG Buchinski served as a Rifleman, Radio Telephone Operator, Team Leader and Squad Leader with Charlie Company, 2nd Battalion 27th Infantry, 25th Infantry Division, Schofield Barracks, Hawaii from December of 2000 to June of 2008. While there 1SG Buchinski deployed in support of OEF from March of 2004 to March of 2005 and in support of OIF from August 2006 to October 2007.  He then PCS’d to Pope Army Air Field and served as an instructor with the Joint Personnel Recovery Agency (JPRA) from July of 2008 to October of 2010.  In November of 2010 1SG Buchinski was then assigned to United States Army Africa (USARAF) in Vicenza, Italy and served as the G3 Training NCOIC until December of 2012.  In December of 2012, 1SG Buchinski PCS’d to Fort Bliss, TX.  While there, he served as the Scout Platoon Sergeant for 2nd Battalion 5th Infantry, 3rd Brigade, 1st Armor Division. During his time there he deployed again in support of OEF from December of 2013 until September of 2014.  In January of 2015 1SG Buchinski was assigned to 1st Battalion 3rd Infantry, The Old Guard and was assigned as the 1SG for Hotel Company from April of 2015 to February of 2017.  On 10 February 2017 1SG Buchinski took Responsibility of Headquarters and Headquarters Company, 1st Battalion 3rd Infantry, The Old Guard.

1SG Buchinski’s military education includes Ranger School, Recon Surveillance Leader Course, Airborne School, Air Assault, Combat Lifesaver Course, Warrior Leader Course, Advance Leader Course, Senior Leader Course, Battle Staff, and the First Sergeant and Commanders Course. 

1SG Buchinski’s Awards and Decorations Include Bronze Star Medal (1 OLC), Meritorious Service Medal, (1 OLC), Joint Service Commendation Medal, Army Commendation Medal with Valor, Army Commendation Medal (3 OLC), Army Achievement Medal, Meritorious Unit Commendation (2 OLC), Army Good Conduct Medal (Fifth Award), National Defense Service Medal, Afghanistan Campaign Medal (1 Campaign Star), Iraq Campaign Medal (2 Campaign Stars), Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, NCO Professional Development Ribbon (Numeral 3), Army Service Ribbon, Overseas Service Ribbon (Numeral 6), NATO Medal, Ranger Tab, Combat Infantryman’s Badge, Expert Infantryman’s Badge, Parachutist Badge and the Air Assault Badge.
