529th RSC Commander
CPT Cole Hanna

 

CPT Cole G. Hanna was commissioned a Second Lieutenant in the Ordnance Corps from the ROTC program at the University of Kansas, 15 May 2012.  He attended the Ordnance Basic Officer Leadership Course at Fort Lee, VA in September of 2012 before being assigned to Fort Riley, KS.

 

CPT Hanna served as the Maintenance Control Officer and Maintenance Platoon Leader with Golf Company, 1st Battalion, 5th Field Artillery from February 2013 to February 2014.

 

In February of 2014, CPT Hanna was assigned to Hotel Company, 2nd Battalion, 34th Armor Regiment.  While there, he deployed in support of Operation Enduring Freedom to Camp Buehring, Kuwait where he would later forward deploy in support of Operation Inherent Resolve to Taji, Iraq from June 2014 to February 2015.

 

In July of 2015 CPT Hanna was accepted to The Old Guard where he was assigned to the 529th Regimental Support Company.  While in the 529th Regimental Support Company, CPT Hanna has served as the Transportation Platoon Leader and the Company Executive Officer.

 

His military schools include the Ordnance Basic Officer Leadership Course, SAMS-E Manager Course, Maintenance Management Course,  and the Ammunition Management Course.

 

His military awards and decorations include the Army Commendation Medal (1 OLC), Army Achievement Medal (2 OLC), National Defense Service Medal, Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Overseas Service Ribbon, Army Service Ribbon, and the Inherent Resolve Campaign Medal.
