        1SG Odonnell  1SG Russell L. O’Donnell was raised in Westerly, Rhode Island.  He joined the Army in May of 2000.

His previous assignments include: Machine Gunner, Automatic Rifleman, Team Leader, Squad Leader and Platoon Sergeant, 2nd Battalion, 14th Infantry Regiment, Fort Drum, NY; Ranger Instructor and OPFOR Platoon Sergeant, 4th Ranger Training Battalion, Fort Benning, GA; Platoon Sergeant and 1SG, B Company, 1st Battalion, 12th Infantry Regiment Fort Carson, CO; 1SG, Bravo Company, 1st Battalion, 3d U.S. Infantry Regiment at Fort Myer, VA.

Basic Leader Course, Advance Leader Course, Senior Leader Course, 1SG / Commander’s Course, Ranger Course, Equal Opportunity Leaders Course the Basic Instructor Course, the Total Army Instructor Course, the Senior Tactical Instructor Course, Airborne School, Combative Level I, Unit Armorer Course and Combat Life Savers Course.
