CPT Alexander M. Triplett graduated from Southern Methodist University in Dallas, TX with a Bachelors of Business Administration in Business Management in 2006. CPT Triplett commissioned as an Infantry Officer through Officer Candidate School at Fort Benning, GA in March 2008.
CPT Triplett’s initial assignment was with 1st Squadron, 2nd Stryker Calvary Regiment in Vilseck, Germany as a Stryker Infantry Platoon Leader. CPT Triplett deployed to the Republic of Georgia in support of Immediate Response. CPT Triplett deployed to OEF 10-11 and served half the deployment as a platoon leader before transitioning to a company Executive Officer.
Following the Maneuver Captains Career Course, CPT Triplett served as the Brigade Assistant Operations Officer in 3rd Brigade, 1st Infantry Division at Fort Knox, KY. CPT Triplett commanded Charlie Company, 1st Battalion 26th Infantry Regiment for 12 months, including a nine month deployment to Afghanistan in support of OEF 13-14.
Following his assignment at Fort Knox, CPT Triplett reported to the 3rd U.S. Infantry Regiment (The Old Guard) at Fort Myer, VA. CPT Triplett’s previous assignment within the Regiment prior to assuming command of Honor Guard Company was as the Regimental Plans Officer.
CPT Triplett’s awards and decorations include the Combat Infantryman’s Badge, Expert Infantryman’s Badge, Ranger Tab, Parachutist’s Badge, Bronze Star Medal (1OLC), Army Commendation Medal (1OLC), and Army Achievement Medal (2OLC). Additionally, he has completed the Maneuver Captain’s Career Course, Stryker Leader’s Course, Infantry Officer Basic Course, and the Basic Officer Leader Course.
