1SG Albert Apodaca

 

1SG Apodaca 8x10 with Frame1SG Albert Apodaca, 89B (Ammunition Specialist), is a native from El Paso, Texas. 1SG Apodaca joined the U.S. Army September 28, 2004. He attended Basic Training at Ft. Benning, GA with A Co. 2nd BN, 47th Infantry Regiment.  After successful completion, he attended Advanced Individual Training (AIT) at Redstone Arsenal, Alabama with C Co., 832nd Ordnance Battalion. After completing MOS Training,1SG Apodaca was assigned to 602nd Aviation Support Battalion, 2nd Infantry Division, Camp Stanley, Korea for a tour of 1 year. After Korea, he was assigned to 27th Brigade Support Battalion, 4th Brigade Combat Team, 1st Cavalry Division Ft. Bliss, Texas. He then deployed to Mosul, Iraq, October 27, 2006 to December 18th 2007. After a successful tour in Iraq, 27th Brigade Support Battalion Reflagged to 123rd Brigade Support Battalion, 4th Brigade Combat Team, 1st Armored Division. He then deployed to Tallil, Iraq May 9, 2009 to May 1, 2010. After successful completion, 1SG Apodaca was assigned to Brigade Support Battalion, 5th BDE, 1st Armored Division, Army Evaluation Task Force (AETF), Ft Bliss, Texas. After deactivation of the AETF, he was assigned to 142nd Combat Sustainment Support Battalion, 15th Sustainment Brigade, Ft. Bliss, Texas and has completed a successful tour in Bagram, Afghanistan from May 7, 2011 to May 6, 2012 and Kandahar, Afghanistan from November 17, 2013 thru August 8, 2014, as an Ammunition Logistics SGT and Class I yard NCOIC for Regional Command-South, Southwest, and West Afghanistan. He is currently assigned to the 3d United States Infantry Regiment (The Old Guard) beginning as a the Senior Ammunition NCO in the Military District of Washington to his current position as the 529th Regimental Support Company First Sergeant.

 

  His Military Education includes the Warrior Leaders Course, Advanced Leaders Course, Senior Leaders Course, Commanders Safety Course, Army Safety Composite Risk Management, Combatives Level 1, Support Operations Course, Standard Army Ammunition System Modernized Course, Combat Life Saver Course, Hazardous Material Familiarization Safety Course, Defense Reutilization Marketing course, Defense Basic Preservation Packing Course, Hazardous Waste Handling Course, Defense Marking for Shipment Course. Contracting Officer Representative Course, Physical Readiness Leaders Course, Master Resilience Trainer Course, Company Commander First Sergeant Course and is a certified Six Sigma Green belt. His Civilian Education includes  an Associates Degree in Occupational Science.

 

  His  Awards include 1 BSM, 1 MSM, 5 ARCOM, 5 AAM, 2 MUC, 3 AGCM, 1 NDSM, 1 KDSM, 3 ICM-CS, 2 ACM-CS, 1 GWTSM, 3 NOPDR, 1 ASR, 4 OSR, 1 ISAF NATO, 1 CAB, 1 DMB-DWV.

 

  1SG Apodacas Short Term Goals are  to obtain his Bachelors  Degree in Logistics Management , Self Develop and continue to lead our nations future Leaders. His Long Term Goals are to open up a Therapeutic Spa in San Diego, California and pursue furthermore education in Kinesiology, Physical Therapy and Cranio-Sacral Therapy.
